Faraday Season Three

“7 days of Summer in Parnell” is how we would simply describe ISBIM’s latest Spring/Summer collection, 'Faraday Season Three.’ They’ve captured the soul of Parnell and expressed the very essence through detailed designs, color palettes, special fabrications, and functionality in each garments. Whilst maintaining their signature tailored silhouettes, a touch of bohemian vibe that runs throughout the collection clearly resembles Parnell. To be more exact, it’s the side of Parnell with warehouse offices that hold architectural Heritage for creatives. Breathable linen suits, earth tone silk dresses, timeless essential loungewear followed by bohemian beach towels; the collection offers expansive ranges of sophisticated looks that seem so fitting for the Summer lifestyle in Parnell. The very 'Summer lifestyle' that requires not only relaxed office look but also resort-like styles that’s ready for spontaneous walk around the beach. Let’s read ISBIM’s third love letter for Faraday Street.

Pleated T-shirts

(Off White, Soft Grey, and Navy)
This is definitely one of our favorite piece in this collection. With the repetitive padded shoulders that can be easily spotted throughout the collection, the t-shirt continues the silhouette without using pads but through pleats. However, the main detail that stole our attention was the slit on the front chest. Wrap a beautiful silk scarf around and let it drop through the slit. It has the aspect of pussy bow tie shirt, almost like you’re going out for a high end dinner but wearing a comfortable t-shirt. Finally! a well designed t-shirt without graphics that is suitable anywhere. Throw it on with boyfriend jeans, or well fitted pleated pants; this t-shirt is your must have. It’s personally my favorite.

Long Pocket Pants

(Oak Brown & Black)
The ‘well fitted pleated pants’ that we mentioned above? Yeah this is what we were talking about. There’s a reason why ISBIM styled it together for their editorial and lookbook. We love the design of subtle cargo pocket which is actually belt loop. Detailed designs like this is what really separates this from other pants. (Also the breathable linen with soft silk lining, they really know what is suitable for Summer)

Shirt Range

(Linen Split Back Shirt & Oversized Trench Shirt)
Abrupt showers and rains on a sunny afternoon is no surprise for New Zealand Summer. Fusing rain guards and yoke flaps design details with a oversized shirt adds practicality to style. Followed by Linen Split Back shirt, a classic summer piece that can’t go wrong. Wear this with cami top inside, pair of jeans and a handbag, you get the picture. Don’t forget a pair of sunglasses too.

Sleeveless Dress

(Sand Copper & Pearl White)
As intimidating those statement shoulders may seem, the controlled design features on the dress balance it out perfectly. The fact that the silhouette is created by how 2m of Egyptian silk falls gracefully from the padded shoulders, rather reveals relaxed-fit. In which makes this dress more suitable to any events (work, weekend dates, or just to lounge in). And let’s not forget about the front slit design for scarves when the occasion calls for it. LOVE

Two Button Linen Blazer

Continuing their tailored covetable fit, the fabrication choice (Light heather oat linen with silk interior lining) for the Season Three staple blazer stands so closely to the word ‘timeless garment.’ The minimal silhouette, muted color, breathable linen rather compliments your outfit instead of standing out on its own. Throw it on with silk blouse, relaxed jeans, and sleek heels; and you get the effortless parisian-look. Who said you can’t layer in Summer?

Loungewear range

(Bell bottom lounge pants, Sleeveless top, High neck anorak, Active shorts)
These loungewear range are ISBIM’s continual build on their brand’s core identity, 'contemporary lounge wear' that focuses on wearability, comfort, and timelessness. ‘We want to create loungewear that are tailored to peoples’ daily needs; a need for multi-purpose garments that offer sophisticated looks while staying comfortable’ says ISBIM Creative Director, which perfectly describes each individual lounge wear pieces.
Faraday Season Three reminded us of how crucial a brand’s identity is. ISBIM’s value for practical details, unique fabrications, timeless silhouettes, and sleek designs can be seen clearly throughout the collection. Those attributes gently touch each garments just enough so that we understand the cohesiveness that runs in Season Three. With diverse ranges of style, they’ve created sophisticated resort-like looks that resembles the very Summer lifestyle in Parnell. From 2m of Egyptian silk maxi dress, classic linen blazer to contemporary loungewear; this collection will redefine your Summer wardrobe.
Knowing this is only Season Three, give us much anticipation and hope for what is to come.
Once again, ISBIM’s love letter has definitely captured our hearts.
